Ongoing & Current Projects

ICF humanitarian aid program for orphans is one of the most compelling facets of our mission. We are committed to providing humanitarian aid through nutritional and medical supplies and through refurbishing or expanding shelter operations. Most recently, Vera Valdivia, our former Haiti program facilitator, has initiated a micro business to help Haitian mothers make a living. The women are knitting purses and bags, and they are sold to women any where. They need donations to purchase supplies. Thank you to several families who have already sent donations. Donations can be made through Paypal to International Child Foundation or by check to ICF, 11449 N Mandarin Ln, Tucson, AZ 85737. All donations go to Vera for the start up and supplies. She will be in Haiti in April working on this project with one of our board members and an advocate. We are hoping that she may consider living there, again, so we can look into working with her again. We love Vera!
A major project in 2010 involved a donation valued at over $500,000, of much-needed medical equipment for the children’s ward in a hospital in Tokmok, Kyrgyz Republic. This program was in conjuction with Project Cure, which provided the medical epuipment. ICF accepted donations for the shipping costs, which exceeded $17,000 – shipping at $15,000 and $2,500 for port fees.

ICF organized a fortified peanut butter campaign in conjunction with Meds and Food for Kids for Haitian orphans and adoption advocates made donations for aiding children and shelters after the earthquake.

ICF has an ongoing commitment to help the Refugios de Dios para Ninos in Sonora, Mexico, with funds for child care and building improvements.

International Child Foundation pledges that the money donated is used entirely for humanitarian aid; 0-5% may be utilized for costs specific to fundraising activities but none is lost for administrative expenses. Generally, 100% of donations directly benefit recipients.
