Humanitarian Aid Program

Ongoing & Current Projects

ICF humanitarian aid program for orphans is one of the most compelling facets of our mission. We are committed to providing humanitarian aid through nutritional and medical supplies and through refurbishing or expanding shelter operations.

A major project in 2010 involved a donation valued at over $500,000, of much-needed medical equipment for the children’s ward in a hospital in Tokmok, Kyrgyz Republic. This program was in conjuction with Project Cure, which provided the medical epuipment. ICF accepted donations for the shipping costs, which exceeded $17,000 – shipping at $15,000 and $2,500 for port fees.

ICF organized a fortified peanut butter campaign in conjunction with Meds and Food for Kids for Haitian orphans and adoption advocates made donations for aiding children and shelters after the earthquake.

ICF has an ongoing commitment to help the Refugios de Dios para Ninos in Sonora, Mexico, with funds for child care and building improvements.

International Child Foundation pledges that the money donated is used entirely for humanitarian aid; 0-5% may be utilized for fundraising activities but none is lost for administrative expenses, as our adoption programs coordinate logistics for the aid programs.  Generally, 100% of donations directly benefit recipients.
